Towards the end of last year, Allianz Re together with Asia Insurance Review brought together some prominent industry experts in the region, comprising reinsurers, brokers, risk consultants, banking and rating agencies to explore the twin themes of "reinsurers - fit for the future" and "protecting society from Nat CAT."
There is an immense pressure on the insurance sector to change and adapt with times. The protection gap is widening, what customers want and how they want it is changing. Nat CAT are occuring with increasing frequency and severity, and new risks seem to be appearing around every corner.
