Dutch Solar Park opens supported by Allianz Climate Solutions

Allianz Re, Munich, Mar 19, 2019

The 18 MW photovoltaic plant Groene Hoek II, located close to Schiphol Airport, Netherlands, is about to become operational in early April, 2019.  It is currently one of the largest PV plants in the Netherlands.  The financial advisory services and insurance solutions were provided by Allianz Climate Solutions in cooperation with TRIO Investment B.V., a Dutch renewable energy investment company focused on western Europe.

The rapid expansion of photovoltaic systems in the Netherlands requires increased quality assurance and bankability assessments for investors and financing institutions.  Therefore, Allianz Climate Solutions (ACS) supports TRIO Investment B.Vl. (TRIO) with innovative insurance solutions and financial advisory services for bankability and investability.

"We really appreciate this cooperation with Allianz Climate Solutions.  As an international investment company, the cooperation with ACS brings new business and projects for both parties with less risk and latest international standards," said Burak Kartal, managing director TRIO Investment B.V.

ACS advises on risk-related aspects of renewable energy projects during planning, construction and operational phases.  This covers in-depth project and risk analysis, financial advisory, manufacturer and bankability evaluations as well as rating advisory.  ACS analyzes financial risks related to the financing structure, key project contracts and risks resulting from the regulatory environment.  Due to this comprehensive assessment, ACS provides best-in-class terms and conditions in insurance coverage in close collaboration with the worldwide Allianz Network.

"We look forward to working with an experienced partner like TRIO in the exciting, expanding Western European market.  We thank Burak Kartal, managing director TRIO Investment B.V., for establishing the partnershp," said Dario Danelutti, managing director, Allianz Climate Solutions.
