Every 2 years the East Asian Insurance Congress (EAIC) provides the re/insurance professionals a platform to gather in an environment of frank exchanges and mutual learning to discuss actual issues in the industry as well as to prepare for the year-end renewals. In addition, it offers opportunities for delegates to share best practices and views to improve the service standard of the industry to better serve the needs of customers.
This year the key theme was on ‘The Future of Insurance - Customer Centricity'
. The Congress was held from 11th to 14th October 2016, at The Venetian Macau Hotel & Convention Centre.
Not only in the Asia Pacific region, but across the globe, the reinsurance industry is currently facing countless changes; some of them will have a more permanent and structural impact on the business environment. The successful development of the industry depends largely on the ability of re/insurers to serve the diverse business needs of customers, understanding the impact of technology, as well as developing innovative reinsurance solutions. These key topics were presented and discussed during the conference sessions.
