In the 1980s, the Allianz’ reinsurance unit started as a central reinsurance department focusing on Allianz internal business. When Allianz Group grew through international acquisitions in the 1990s, Allianz Group’s reinsurance department expanded its scope accordingly. In this decade, the division started the business relationships to external clients.
At the beginning of the new century, the unit further enhanced its own functional infrastructure. It was the time to consolidate previous developments and to aim for an own, customer-focused profile.
In 2006 Allianz AG became a European Company (Allianz SE) and Allianz’ reinsurance department changed its name accordingly to Allianz SE Reinsurance as part of Allianz SE.
During the past couple of years, Allianz SE Reinsurance further expanded its interface-function for Allianz Group. Optimizing Allianz group-wide reinsurance activities, we are striving for best customer-oriented solutions, based on expertise and services. Through a global organization, we facilitate cross-functional cooperation for the benefit of our customers worldwide. |
